As a leader in occupational health, safety, and environmental services and professionals we are seeking a full time Medical Technician/Scheduling Coordinator at a valued customer site in Midland, Michigan.  Typical hours for position are 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

The Medical Technician/Scheduling Coordinator is responsible to:

  • Opening and closing clinic daily
  • Maintain daily clinic schedules for nurses/physician
  • Provide flexible support to nursing and administrative staff
  • Maintain paper and electronic patient charts, including scanning electronic records
  • Schedule clinic, assist in voluntary, and mandatory surveillance appointments as necessary
  • Administer/Track employees assigned to medical surveillance requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to schedule testing
  • Coordinate outside medical consultations and referrals
  • Engage with workers compensation and insurance providers as directed
  • Schedule rooms for meetings as necessary
  • Responsible for weekly lab draw procedures, including making folders and ordering tests
  • Responsible for on-site vendor schedules and promotion
  • Responsible for record retention of paper records that have been entered electronically, as well as all other business records within job role
  • Ensure confidentiality of any and all patient information
  • Consistently surveys action item lists and databases, and takes initiative to act on any necessary procedure
  • Assists in the coordination of annual events, such as flu clinic, skin cancer screening, health expo, and other health promotion tasks.
  • Occupies crucial customer service representative role
  • Respirator Fit Testing
  • OSHA Audiogram Testing, including data entry into electronic audiometric system
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Performing basic laboratory testing
  • Collaborate with nursing staff regarding “out of range” results

We are looking for a team player who has the following skill sets:

  • Data entry with excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Calendar
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology
  • Clerical and office coordination experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent planning, organizing, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to complete tasks on own initiative

Experience:

  • Experience in respirator fit testing, pulmonary function testing and OSHA audiogram testing (including CAOHC certification) preferred
  • High School diploma required
  • Medical office/environment experience required

Other:
